You may have read a little bit about me in the behind the scenes portion of our website but I wanted to start off the blog with a little more of me...who I am, and why I started Juniper.
daughter, wife, designer, florist
Crazy cat lady should probably be listed there too but that's a different blog post entirely.
Daughter: I have two generous and loving parents from whom I've learned so much. How to talk to people and treat them with respect, how to persevere and never give up, and most of all...that growing up doesn't mean being too serious. We have fun in our family and that is something I cherish. One reason I started Juniper is because I want to have fun when I work. There is so much responsibility with owning your own small business but life is too short not to have fun. Every. Day.
Wife: I am a newlywed. Just about a year and a half. Is that still a newlywed? I think so. Anyway, I married a kind, handsome, and thoughtful person. He is just right for me and is the most precious gift I've ever been given. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have started Juniper. He has been with me every step of the way, encouraging me and believing in me. I love you Collin Michael Fleck.
Designer: The Interior Designer part of me will forever be growing, learning, and changing. Like I said before, design wasn't always the obvious choice but once decided it was definitely the most suited. It brought color back into my world. I love the things it teaches me...to always keep an open mind, that collaborating is awesome, and to never get discouraged as there is never one right answer...the possibilities are endless. So that's Good!
Florist: Most recently, I'm a Florist. Juniper was born in March of 2013. I'd dreamt of her (side note: this is the first time I've called Juniper "her"...I guess there's a first time for everything!) So...literally, I had a dream and It was about Juniper. I took that as a sign and followed my dream. I love working with my hands and getting them dirty. I love that the smell of roses never gets old. Ever. I love the endless combinations of colors and textures and the way each flower's stem feels different in my hand. I love learning about these beautiful crowns of creation, these flowers, and pray their beauty never becomes stagnant.
